Addy Huston and MACH Shock & Awe Lightening Bolt Badger MX MXJ

Addy got Badger as a little pup that had been attacked by another dog. Addy nursed her back to health and they started a long life together. Their first career was flyball where Badger learned the game in a day. She earned her Flyball Dog (FD), Flyball Excellent (FDX), and Flyball Dog Champion (FDCH) titles swiftly.

Addy also trained Badger to be a good citizen and she earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate.

In agility, Badger found her real career. They got their start in Oct 2003 after training a relatively short time and earned her Novice Standard title at their second show. By her 3rd competition in early 2004, Badger had earned her Novice Jumpers title. Then in Central Point, Oregon, Badger won High in Class in both Standard and Jumpers on the same day! Addy was really hooked then!

A year after starting their agility career, Badger earned her Excellent Jumpers title as well as her Master Agility Excellent title.

By March 2005, Badger earned her Master Agility Jumpers title. And her first Double Q came in July 2005.  At times, the Double Q's came slowly. By the end of 2006, Badger had acquired 1433 speed points and 14 Double Q’s.

In April 2007, Addy and Badger competed in AKC Nationals in Columbus Ohio. They had a wonderful experience. Thanks go to Mary Hunter and Addy’s family. Badger had 2 clean runs out of 3 and Addy was very proud of Badger.

Over Labor Day weekend 2007, Addy and Badger conquered that last Double Q in Salt Lake City with many friends there to help her celebrate. It surely was the Double Q glasses that helped Addy see the path to that elusive Double Q!

Addy wishes to thank Mary Hunter for all her support, and the other agility competitors for all their encouragement. She is so proud of Badger. What a team!
